Suspend S-corp to save $800

I have an Scorp registered for my consulting work. Can I suspend it for a couple of years?
Purpose is to avoid the process of new Scorp again. And not pay the minimum $800 CA franchise tax.

Suspended Corporation

Hi,

I don't think so. You have to dissolve & wind up the the corp to get out of the $800 tax. The FTB can suspend your corporation if you don't pay the tax. I don't think you can opt to suspend your corp.

If you find out anything more on this, it would be great if you posted a follow up.
